The idea for this painting came up after a long stay in Lisbon. Lisbon is an inspiration with its proximity to the sea, the liveliness of the city, the indescribable blue sky. On the contrary, human inadequacies and manipulations appear as “bullshit”. You should be kept away from your own life.
After more than 6 months of a pandemic and without much contact with the outside world, “Dance la vie” is on. The artist has processed all sensations and depressions here. With the end of the pandemic restrictions and summer just around the corner, the beauty and elegance of the movement should also be expressed again. The picture was created in over 8 weeks of intensive work from the end of March to the end of May 2021. It is probably one of the most beautiful pictures of the artist and is very expressive with a width of 2.50 m and a height of 1.50 m.
This unusual work has painted the painter on a 100×80 cm metal floor of a former heavy duty shelf.
